Terms of Use
Last updated 28 June 2026
These terms explain what SomalMed does, what we do not do, and the basis on which we help you. By using this website or asking us to help with a case, you agree to them.
What SomalMed is
SomalMed prepares and coordinates medically necessary treatment in India for patients from Somalia. We organise your records, help you reach an accredited hospital, and coordinate travel and stay. We are not a hospital, we do not practise medicine, and the doctors who treat you do so under their own responsibility.
No medical advice, no promises
Nothing on this website or from our coordinators is medical advice. Decisions about diagnosis and treatment are made by qualified doctors, not by us. We will never promise a cure, a visa, or a fixed price that the medical facts cannot support. If treatment abroad is not right for you, we will tell you.
Estimates and price
Any range or estimate we share is an early planning figure and is illustrative only. The figure that counts is the hospital’s own written estimate, issued in your name, with nothing added on top by us. The final cost is set by the hospital and the actual care provided, and may differ from any estimate.
Payment
We do not add a markup to your treatment, and we do not ask for treatment payment upfront. Payment arrangements for hospitals, travel, and other providers are made transparently and confirmed with you. You are responsible for the costs of the care and travel you agree to.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate and complete information so we can prepare your case properly.
- Make sure you have the authority to share any patient’s information you send us.
- Make your own decisions about treatment and travel, with the advice of the treating doctors.
Third parties
Hospitals, doctors, airlines, accommodation, and visa authorities are independent of SomalMed. They provide their services under their own terms and are responsible for them. We coordinate, but we do not control their decisions or outcomes.
Our responsibility to you
We take real care in preparing and coordinating your case. To the extent the law allows, SomalMed is not responsible for medical outcomes, for the decisions of hospitals or authorities, or for losses outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SomalMed operates. Any dispute will be handled there.
Changes
We may update these terms as our service grows. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above.
